Peter Stringer announces retirement
At the age of 40, former Irish Scrum half, Munster Man and all around legend, Peter Stringer announces his retirement from Rugby.
After 98 appearances for Ireland, a Grand slam, 3 triple crowns along with over 200 games with Munster and a Heineken Cup, Stringer was still hungry to play. He then went on to play for Saracens and a number of other English clubs, leaving a noticeable influence in all. In 2016 he won Sale Sharks’ Player of the Year aged 38. But he’ll always be a Munster man. “My proudest days on a rugby field came from wearing the red of Munster and the green of Ireland, and will remain with me for the rest of my life,” he said.
A true Talisman and one of the greatest rugby players there has ever been.
