Weekend NFL Review
Finally after 5 months, 266 games and 1,362 touchdowns we’re down to our final 2. It’s Peyton Manning and the Broncos against Cam newton and the Panthers but the way they got there couldn’t have been more different.
In the Mile High stadium on Sunday Manning put Denver ahead early before sitting back and letting the defense loose on Tom Brady. Its never over for Brady though and the Broncos couldn’t stop him find Gronk in the end-zone with a minute to go. Too little too late though as the Broncos recovered the on-side kick and ran out the clock to clinch a spot in their second Superbowl in years.
Compare that to the Carolina’s rout of Arizona in the NFC game. Cam Newton and co. put 49 points on the cardinals in a record win for the NFC. Even with the win in the bag late in the 4th they didn’t let up as they picked off Carson Palmer 4 times. The Broncos are going to have to find another gear if they expect to take home the Lombardi trophy on the 7th of February.
